Latin America: COVID-19 deaths 2020, by country

As of July 24 2020, a total of 176,666 people have died due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in Latin America and the Caribbean. The country with the highest number was Brazil, reporting more than 84 thousand deaths. As a result of the pandemic, Brazil's GDP is forecast to decline by approximately six percent in 2020. Meanwhile, Mexico ranked second in number of deaths, with nearly 42 thousand occurrences.
